The series was born with the idea of rethinking the places depicted by Giorgio De Chirico, trying to imagine them today after a hundred years of non-living, desolate, uninhabited and abandoned, but intact, uncontaminated by modern interference and rehashes.

The subjects photographed are models of buildings that echo the metaphysical architecture conceived by De Chirico, or inspired by the founding villages of the fascist era that have much in common with the atmospheres created by the painter. Through these images the artist continues his exploration of landscape, real or imaginary, and themes of abandonment.
